Renuergy was founded in Houston, Texas in 2021 by Element Group, a physical oil and gas trading house, and Jason Chang, a senior oil and gas investment professional. Renuergy acquires and enhances onshore oil and gas production assets in the US with workover, recompletion, well re-entry, development and enhanced recovery potential. Renuergy is backed by private family capital.
Our Business
Renuergy acquires operated or non-operated interests in existing conventional oil and gas assets of up to $10mm in size with a view to high-grade production through workover and development efforts. With over 110 years of technical experience, the Renuergy team has experience developing and successfully executing complex well procedures including fishing, sidetracks (vertical and directional) and complex (re)completions.
We constantly seek to align with strong partners to ensure mutual benefit and are not bound by specific investment horizons. Renuergy's geographic mandate is the Lower 48 but generally focused on opportunities in Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Montana and the Dakotas.
By virtue of being partnered with a physical energy commodity trading house, Renuergy can also help its working interest partners realize optimal product offtake and risk management terms on an arm’s length, open book basis.
